Z.A. Bhutto Agriculture College, Dokri
The Z.A. Bhutto Agriculture College, Dokri is the only constituent college of Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam. This college is located in Dokri, district Larkana. It provides education in various disciplines of agriculture (Crop Production and Crop Protection). The graduates from this college are serving in various fields related to agriculture in public and private sectors throughout Pakistan. This college consists of the departments of Agronomy, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Horticulture, Soil Science, Biochemistry, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Extension and other supporting sections that offer a few courses in the program. All the departments of the college offer undergraduate degree program.
Student Enrolment: The Z.A. Bhutto Agriculture College has the student enrolment of about 106 students each year. During the year 1999, there were 424 students enrolled in this college in its undergraduates program as per its mandate.
Research: The academic research and practical in various departments are being carried out on the college farm and in the laboratories of the various departments.
Faculty Resource Development: This College is rich in qualified manpower having higher academic qualifications in various disciplines of agriculture. There are 2 Ph.D. degree holders from abroad and another 3 teachers are studying for their Ph.D. abroad (USA and Norway). One teacher has earned his degree of Master of Engineering from Mehran University Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. However, almost all the remaining teaching staff members posses at least a degree of M.Sc from local universities in relevant filed of specialization.
