Video Conference Room



Most sophisticated and advanced Video Conference Room is established at Information Technology Centre with the assistance of Higher Education Commission to facilitate students and faculty to communicate locally and remote for the purpose of education and information dissemination. It is established at Information Technology Centre in an air-conditioned hall with a capacity of more than 50 persons. The Video Conference Room is designed in such a way that it supports without strain clear audio, among the participant and presenters both locally and remotely. This hall is located close to the entrance of this Centre and is provided with high quality wooden tables each having seating for three participants and revolving chairs with fabric covering for better acoustics. The video conference hall is provided with speaker’s desk and small table for coordinator. Adjacent to the hall is a store room for the storage of video conferencing equipments and other less required material.

The components of video conference are generally of good quality, reliable and user friendly connected with high speed internet bandwidth of 2 MB. The components include the Camera (to capture local video), a video display (to display remote video), a microphone (to capture local audio) and speaker (to play remote audio). In addition, video conference terminal consists of codec, a user interface, a computer system to run on, and a network connection

The goal of video conferencing is education, collaboration or information dissemination and is the substitute for the actual physical presence of remote participants and most convenient way of meeting that reduces travel cost and time. It shares computer applications such as internet pages, library, catalog documents or softwares. It offers University formal class room instructions (courses, lessons and tutoring), connection with guest speakers and experts, multi organization project collaboration, professional activities such as meeting & interviews and community events.
