Sindh Agriculture University had
been quite foresighted in developing
Information Technology in educating
and training the manpower in the “Information
Technology Centre (ITC)”.
Information Technology Centre was
established with a view to impart
quality education to the youth of
the country in general and the province
of Sindh in particular to face the
challenges of the new millennium in
Information Technology as high order
professionals with academic excellence.
The main purpose of the ITC is to
produce market oriented graduates
in the field of Information Technology.
It also helps to enhance the research
and analytical capabilities of the
students and the faculty through the
latest advancements in Information
Technology. It also shares responsibilities
in producing graduates to help agriculture
sector in accordance with ever changing
global trends in information sharing.
The Centre has well equipped laboratories
having latest computer hardware and
software facilities. More than 180
P-III and P-IV computers with latest
configuration and peripherals are
available in the computer labs together
with latest audio visual equipment
and teaching aids. The Centre has
internet facility available for the
teachers and the taught. The electronics
lab is fully equipped with Analog
and digital trainers, micro-processor
trainers and other relevant equipment.
The Centre in addition possesses Multimedia
projectors, Televisions, Digital cameras,
Digital Microscope, Scanners, Color
printers, laser jet printers and Dot
matrix Printers, and all supporting
licensed Softwares are also available
.In addition the ITC has Video Conferencing
facility to accommodate upto 60 participants
at a time to attend national and international
lectures and participate in discussions
with remotely connected experts/scientists.of
different countries.
The graduates produced from the Centre
shall prove themselves the best IT
Professionals with market and job
oriented skills and expertise. The
BSIT course covers Software Development,
Hardware, programming Languages, Technical,
Financial, Business, Marketing, Management
and organizational aspects needed
for IT Professionals fulfilling all
the requirements of the employers.
