Introduction
Pharmacology is the Science that relates with the
study of effects of chemical agents having therapeutic value or toxicity
on biological systems. This science has two closely related sub-disciplines:
Pharmacodynamics (Molecular, biochemical & physiological effects
of drugs on cellular system and their mechanism of action) and Pharmacokinetics
(Absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs).
Pharmacology is a scholarly discipline having distinct
identity, and with basic scientific research this
discipline has an independent recognition. Pharmacology
education involves undergraduate, graduate research
degree program related with professional education
in Veterinary Pharmacology / Medicine and Surgery.
