Introduction
The Department of Livestock Management is one of the
key departments of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences.
The department maintains herds of Kundhi buffalo, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar
and crossbred cattle including a flock of sheep and goat. It delivers
the teaching, research and outreach functions. Postgraduate research
focuses on sustainable livestock production systems, small and large
scale dairy farming, livestock business management and farm profitability
analysis.
