Goals


1. The department has planned to conduct research on the production of fruit & vegetable varieties to meet the export ....and WTO requirement.
2. To develop technologies for packaging of export quality fruits.
3. To popularize mango varieties with dwarfing characteristics.
4. To popularize high density planting concept for higher and quality production of mango.
5. To develop technology for production of certified stock and saplings for growers.
6. To produce quality vegetables.
7. To increase the shelf life of fruits, vegetables & flowers.

Objectives


1. To focus on quality education at graduate and post-graduate level.
2. To conduct research on various aspects of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants.
3. To conduct short term trainings on nursery production and popularize high yielding varieties with export potential.
