Dr. Hussain Bakhsh
G. Bhutto is a highly qualified and
meritorious person. He possesses an

fist position holder throughout his
academic career . He obtained B.E(Agri.)
from Agriculture
College,
Sindh University,
Jamshoro in1976
and secured first class first. He got
his M.E ( Hydraulics& Irrigation)
from Mehran
university of Engineering of Technology , Jamshoro in 1982 securing grade-A in courses and an excellent
rating on his research work. Keeping
momentum of getting higher education
in tact , Dr. Bhutto earned Ph.D
( Hydraulics & Irrigation Engg.)
from Mehran
University
of engineering & Technology in 1988
. He was awarded with Gold Medal from
Governor of Sindh on account of earning
first Ph.D
from any University within the country
in Hydraulics & Irrigation and also
the first Ph.D
from Mehran University. Besides, he received post-graduate trainings
in “ Project Management & Control
” in 1978 and “ Data Processing &
computer Programming” from MUET, Jamshoro
in !980.
Dr. Bhutto has a long and
diversified experience of more than 26 years in different disciplines. He possesses
an excellent academic, professional, administration, management and research
potential. His all round dynamic capabilities enables him to play a leading
role in the fields of Irrigation, Drainage, Water Management and Surface and
Ground Water Hydraulics. He is the best and popular teacher having a strong
grip and command in the subjects related to his fields.
Dr. Hussain Bhutto is an active
researcher .His contribution towards academic research is envious and
commendable. He is the author of 24 research papers published in the Journals
of international repute. He has guided/supervised a number of post-graduate
researchers as a main supervisor and co-supervisor for their Master and Ph.D degree in the field of Hydraulics, Irrigation and
Drainage. He has produced more than a dozen of Masters in Irrigation and
Drainage so far and research work of three Ph.D
scholars is in progress.
Dr. Bhutto has served as an Area Manager in
Rice Milling Corporation of Pakistan
for a period of two years, i.e, from 1976 to1978. He
served department of Irrigation and Drainage , Faculty of Agricultural
Engineering, Sindh
Agriculture University,
Tandojam as a Lecturer, Assistant
Professor, Associate Professor since 1978 to-date. He has also served as a visiting Professor in Mehran
University, Jamshoro involved in teacing
post-graduate in Hydraulics & Irrigation Engineering for two years(1982-83)
and as a resource person trained
practicing Hydraulic cum Irrigation Engineers of the country in an
international training course on “ Alluvial Channels Hydraulic Design ”
sponsored and organized by USAID in 1985.
Dr. Hussain Bhutto is a
consultant of an international repute and enjoys an excellent reputation by
virtue of possessing dynamic professional capabilities. He has served as a
Water Management Specialist , Agricultural Engineer, Tube Well Engineer, Social
Program Supervisor and Team Leader in leading and well reputed international
consulting firms, viz. ARDInc.(USA) and NESPAK. He
has also participated as a trainer on different forums viz. IIMI, SPO, NESPAK, ARDInc. OFWM, SWAFCO, OXFAM and local NGOs . He
imparted/delivered a substantial number
of indoor and outdoor trainings and lectures to officials/staff of concerned
firm, organization, and departments and
so many farmers groups and organizations on important topics related to soil
and water engineering issues/problems. He is also a n active and peer reviewer
/ referee to evaluate research papers in the field of soil & water
engineering published in the Journals of international repute.
Overall, Dr. Bhutto is having a
