The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences is the pioneer of establishing this department in Pakistan with the financial assistance of Higher Education Commission. The main objective of the establishment of this department is to implement education, research and outreach programs designed to foster knowledge and understanding of the composition, processing, quality and safety of foods of animal origin to ensure a wholesome, high quality and sustainable food supply to the increasing population of the country. Animal Product Technologies is the study of dairy and meat products and byproducts in relation to their utilization and safety through use of the biological, chemical and physical sciences..
