Mission Statement




This department offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and carries out extensive veterinary research.


The department of Anatomy and Histology is responsible for teaching veterinary anatomy, histology and embryology. We take a modern and innovative approach to teaching anatomy and related topics in a financial veterinary medically relevant context. The department has taken a leading role in the department of problems based learning the graduate program and continues to make significant conditions to its development implementation.


Our laboratories carry out cross-disciplinary research mainly in gross anatomy of the vital organs of the domestic animals, with a strong emphasis on rigorous quantitative approaches.


To support our teaching and research into veterinary anatomy and histology, the department – together with the department of Surgery an Obstetrics, Animal Reproduction, Livestock Management, Veterinary Microbiology and veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary sciences – also participates in a postgraduate research program. This share program provides incredible advantages to postgraduate students and researchers of the veterinary sciences. It is a much needed and appreciated program of which the department of anatomy and histology is proud to be involved.


The departmental offices, anatomy’s laboratories and teaching facilities are located on the ground floor of the main building of the faculty.


The department consist of 05 academician out of them 2 are abroad for Ph.D program, 01 postgraduate student and 04 general staff members. Dr. Illahi Bux Kalhoro is Incharge of department from 2004 to date.
